3D technology involves 3D scanning, design and printing.
3D SCANNING
This non-invasive procedure involves using a 3D scanner to take accurate anatomical 3D scans of the limb. These digital scans are used to customise a Sculpt cast to the patient's specifications including special cut outs for wounds and bony protrusions.
3D DESIGN
Sculpt casts are 3D designed for the specific injury by a hand therapist. A 3D designed cast provides critical circumferential support for injury and fracture recovery.
3D PRINTING
Sculpt casts are 3D printed to be lightweight, waterproof and hardy for everyday activity.
